Welcome to JeffTrek
- Keeping up with Jeff / "Rabbit" on the Appalachian Trail -
INFORMATION ABOUT THIS SITE
On March 17, 2001, Jeff (trail name "Rabbit") hit the trail on Springer Mountain, Georgia, beginning his 2168 mile, 179-day journey on the Appalachian Trail. He finished at Mount Katahdin in Maine on September 11th, 2001--a day that will live in sadness and celebration for "Rabbit" and the rest of the Fab Five who finished with him. You can come here to read his daily journal and to see photos from the trail.
Or ask him questions about what it was like to hike the entire length of the AT.

  --Eric Dishman (his brother, webmaster)
  --Ashley Armstrong (his sister-in-law, webmaster)

- Now you get to see evidence that Rabbit and the Fab Five actually finished the whole 2168 mile journey. Check out the 60 new photos from batch 24 to the final summit photos in batch 27b. And if you haven't read them already, check out the final three journals for Sept 9th, Sept 10th, and Sept 11th.

- Rabbit is on another JeffTrek--this time on the Pacific Crest Trail. Go to JeffTrek to follow "live" his journey from Mexico to Canada.

(Old announcements are here!)
